I'm not worried. I am planning on the cam and valve train upgrades early summer.

Nice numbers ! I was following what JDP did on Facebook. It makes me think of taking a road trip to add some power

Are there any issues with the RotoFab CAI on the 2014 hood? I'm looking at CAIs and I've had RotoFab before and was very happy with it. Thanks

You don't hear about it often because
1) people don't want to post publically "I was an idiot and voided my warranty and now it's costing me 1ok out of pocket"
2) good tuners = good tune = well running car = no major failures
3) these cars are proven, you don't hear of many major failures.

If you tune your warranty is "technically" gone. Just like doing 65 mph in a 60 mph zone is "technically" breaking the law. Just like cops overlook 65 in a 60, many dealerships overlook a tune when minor issues need fixed. But go 120 mph in that 60 mph zone....that's like a blown engine and your gonna get some more attention! No what I mean?
Agreed with the extreme type of failures.
Curious, will Hennessy or SLP void the factory warranty, even if there is catastrophic engine failure?

I'm pretty sure Lingenfelter, Hennesy, and SLP all offer an extended or supplemental Drivetrain Warranty because GM taps out. I think maybe on the 4th Gens it was a little different but pretty sure that's how it works now.

For SLP: If you have an SLP blower installed by a certificate mechanic and use the tune provided (unaltered) you can purchase a 3/36 warranty. If I remember correctly it was $600 -$800.. Well worth it IMO

I've gotta say, after just one day of driving around (about 50 miles now) the car is truly a completely different machine. I was worried I wouldn't be happy with the gains (butt dyno) but there is ZERO disappointment. Runs better through the entire rpm range. The tune really helped eliminate the torque management issues. Either that or the VMAX fixed it?

Great car! GM has impressed me with this car. Great gains from bolt on mods!!

Your warranty is toast should you have a catastrophic failure. My good friend Trevor blew his motor in His ZL1 driving it at 35mph. It's not up to the dealer. The dealer Gus Paulos had to ship his ECM to Chevrolet in Michigan. After they determined that no modifications were done to the ECM they then replaced the motor. Of course a tuner is going to tell you that your warranty is intact. He's making money off of you.

I still have temp tags on my car and had to fight with a dealer over a warranty issue. The right fog light housing kept letting moisture in and causing the fuse to blow. They told me gm wouldn't cover it unless it had standing water. Needless to say the conversation got heated and I left with a new housing. To be honest I enjoy my car and treat it as a hobby, hobbies are expensive. So I modded the hell out of it!

In contrast to the fog light story I literally had a piece of lint stuck in my headlight (HID from an RS package) and got it replaced. It was there from the manufacture.

I suggest you find a new dealer...
