Question Transformer Edition, Body Code/Model Code/?

Is there anything stamped on the car itself to prove it's a factory TFE car? On the "Chassis Mainline Rider" sheet I see "Z479: TRANSFORMERS" with "TRANS" in reverse characters under it.

Mine was bundled with everything else the dealer gave me. I believe it's taped under the carpet in the trunk if it's the "build sheet"? I don't know, I also have a left side trim sheet that rides on the passenger door during manufacture but it doesn't have anything interesting on it.

The SPID label that is on your car will have the option code for the transformers edition-Can't remember where the SPID is on the Camaro, nor the option code for transformers...what can I say...its a bad morning.

In all reality, this is your "documentation" for this car. You might get lucky and get something from GM that shows you have a transformers car, but if it wasn't specifically listed in the option package, don't count on it happening.

On a side note to this...I received a gorgeous letter (glossy print, C6R background) that documented that our GT1 vette was one of 125 produced and even had the VIN number on the letter! Now I gotta find Ed Peper and get it personally signed...let the stalking begin! The letter was not a promise from GM and I never expected it. I was shocked to see a fedex from GM-my immediate thoughts were either "oh crap...what's wrong with my car" or "who the **** at GM would be sending me something". I opened the letter and about fell over!

GM is doing some good things and some darn creative things to build customer value and I hope it continues!

Dealer packaged all paper work in and on car for me, but not really looked at much of it.

Anyone? Anything? So the only way to prove this is a factory Transformer is to show them the sticker?

I was looking around the car and since its mainly a decal package, I think us Bumblebee guys need to make a plate and have GM sponser it.

It's better when you can say this is a "TFE" or whatever code car so people can verify it... though I guess at shows I'll have my sticker anyway so...

Check the RPO sticker for CTH. This is how you tell if the car is a true TFE other than the sticker.

CTH - TRANSFORMERS SPECIAL EDITION: * UNIQUE TRANSFORMERS BLACK RALLY STRIPES * AUTOBOT SHIELD WHEEL CENTER CAPS * TRANSFORMERS SILL PLATES * AUTOBOT SHIELD EMBROIDERY ON CENTER CONSOLE ARMREST * AUTOBOT SHIELD EXTERIOR BADGING

Tranformers Package Code is CTH

If you go to your dealer and have them print out a vehicle inquiry you will see the transformer package on the list. The code is CTH. In the age of computers you will always be able to prove what you new car is. Did you save your sticker?

Where is the RPO sticker located?

The RPO sticker is silver and mounted in the trunk floor to the left of the inflater cover. You have to left the carpet up and it is right there. Look for the CTH listing and you will know it is a true TFE camaro. This will become important later on as I have heard of several people looking to buy the TFE parts and add them to their camaro and it will be the only other way to determine if it is a true TFE other than the window sticker.
