Called the dealership that we bought the car from. Asked him where the tires were because he heard that he was suppose to take delivery of them too. The dealer told us that the 21" rims are a Factory "Dealer" Installed option. Which is different then a Dealer Installed option. He said that they had to ship back the RS rims to the factory upon putting the new rims on the car. Which to me doesn't make sense that a factory would send out the rims and have to ship them back to the factory. They wouldn't be considered new then.. and they are putting used RS rims on new cars... Correct me if I'm wrong.

Do you think that the dealer is lying to us? Does he own the RS tires?
That dealer absolutely owes a set of wheels/ tires to you. When you order the RS/ SS with the 21" wheel upgrade you get the 20's with the car as well. REPORT that dealer ASAP. I would make them either produce the wheels or offer you the equivalent of cash or i would take further action. And i'd still report them.
There's probably an employee driving around with your wheels on his S-10

The purchase of the 21" rims and tires does not negate the fact that the car came with 20" rims and tires which the consumer also paid for with the RS option.

The 2 sets of rims and tires go with the car upon delivery, period!

If they say they sent the 20" rims and tire back (which is BS) they need to order you a new set of 20" rims and tires.
Make sure they are new and not used or damaged in any way.
I agree 100%. I would almost be at the point of calling the police. Sounds like Grand Theft to me.

Catching a dealer lying in the act is priceless.. They are still saying they had to ship them back.. Calling GM now

He probably told the truth. He shipped them to the guy he sold them to in Iowa.

Found out that Iowa is were GM gets the rims made. Since they are Aftermarket they are not made at the factory. We think the dealership probably has a deal with them to send the rims back and they get a little $ out of the deal.

I doubt they get a kickback from sending those rims back. WTF are they going to do with factory rims anyways? That makes no sense. It makes more sense that the dealer kept it and like someone else mentioned, one of the employees is running it on his S-10.

Sounds like you're going to be $1000 or so richer in the near future.

Dad has been on the phone with Chevrolet for the last 90 minutes... Told him that you surrender your rims/tires upon adding the 21" rim package.

Lets just say this is my dad right now on the phone with them The district adviser or something is calling him in 24 hours.

No you don't. You payed for the RS package so you get the midnight silver rims. Then you spend an EXTRA $4,800 and get the 21" wheels. That equals two (2) sets of rims.
