Foam Gun question

Ok I have one more thing to add to my detail arsenal. I swore to my wife this is it for awhile..

I have watched a few youtube videos and have drawn no conclusions. ONLY THAT THIS THIS AWSOME SWIRL MINIMIZING THING..... I MUST HAVE

What is your recomendation with performance, and ease of use. I will be hooking it up to a garden hose not a compressor.

Let me know I want to order the sucker asap.

Also do you add soap or a mixture of soap and water?

I have the one Adams sold awhile back. A must have. Like you said it minimizes swirls by taking the dirt and breaking it down running off the car. You'll be adding a few ounces (I like adding a bit more than others) of soap and water. Again, it's worth the money.

They stopped selling it because they found out it wasn't made in the USA.

It's the Gilmour foamaster you can find on amazon.

Not on my own car because I live in an apartment with no facilities. But on a car I'm being paid for, absolutely.

My car gets the ghetto wash treatment.

And you do add a mix of soap and water. Add about 1/2" of soap into the bottom, and slowly add water til full. Shake it up to mix it and you're good to go. I usually set mine on "D"

  1. Rinse well with water.
  2. Foam.
  3. 2 bucket wash.
  4. Rinse.
  5. Dry.

The foam gun IS NOT a replacement for your 2 bucket wash. Its simply a way to deliver a lot of soap directly to the vehicle, which makes life a lot easier. You can do a swirl free wash without a foam gun, its just that a foam gun will make washing a lot faster as you aren't struggling to get soap to the vehicle from the bucket as much. You should still have 1 rinse bucket and 1 soap bucket just like normal.

As I tell most people - a foam gun is a NICE TO HAVE, but not a MUST HAVE.

Thank you sir. I regret you don't sell them I have just received another shipment from you and yet another raised eyebrow from my bride. She thought I was all done with this obsession after my neighbor called her when I was useing a electric leaf blower to dry my ZL1.

Thanks for all of your support

My advice to you - have your orders shipped to work, they're easier to hide that way

I thought it was weird when they quit carrying it, even though all clay is made in Japan, to the best of my knowledge. The economist in me is irked to no end by the policy in general, but it's their prerogative.

It's all relative, lol. I think my car looks hideously dirty 90% of the time. Still looks better than 99% of cars on the road though.
