Relax all who are waiting for their new cars, everything is back to normal. Only lost about a shift . Problem was a highway closing due to snow whiteouts and drifting. Had over 300 vehicles stranded for as long as 24 hours, but all is well now and the parts are flowing again.

Humidity. And salt water. Both factors = EXTREMELY bad conditions for building cars. So much so that the cost of air conditioning the entire plant far outweighs any problem with snow in the north. Granted, their test was done in Miami, but they said smaller tests were done across the South with similar results. Better cold than rusted.

Build'em in Kentucky along side the Corvette.
Great quality build coming out of that factory. American car - American jobs. Why did we bail out GM and they are still building cars outside the USA? |

We feel yer pain here in Minne. Sorry to hear about all the people trapped. These temps are nothing to screw around with. I'm keeping my Camaro safe and warm underground for now.

My friend, the government of Canada has put in money to bail out GM. $10.6 Billion Dollars and that Oshawa plant that builds OUR camaros has some of the best build quality in North America if not THE best.

WHEW! I took delivery of my 2SS just last week! It was produced Dec 2nd, just missed slowing my new car order down. No matter anyways, it's covered in snow and ice now parked in my cold, Montreal driveway. eB

seriously, i cant believe the ignorance of some people on here. Why doesent the world ship all offshore production to the states? will you be happy then? christ, the camaro is a WORLD car, not a AMERICAN car, far from it. |
