Not sure about that but I do know that Canadian dealers will be getting their cars in that manner.

Yeah, I believe my dealer originally told me that they would get both a V6 and V8 but I figured they'd come in (built and delivered) just as they did with your dealer TJ91... the V8 first. That's based on reading the threads here about no V8 constraints and being priority 1 at the dealer. But perhaps there was another hold up or I don't fully understand the allocation process.

Not sure if this has been brought up yet but I was told Canada has a 70-30 split of V6's to V8's by the dealer. That would mean that if you aren't the 1st SS ordered at your dealer you might have to wait awhile. You said you were 1st priority so it shouldn't affect you but if your dealer ordered themselves an SS they may have a delay getting you yours.

Right. I'd better be the 1st SS.... or I'm gonna raise hell. Time will tell.

BTW... this V6 was #3939. The car is an IOM LT1/RS auto.

I'm curious... does GM build the V8 in batch runs? I read today in another thread that there is a bunch of SS's on a lot by the plant that have been put there recently.

I figure #3939 was built around 2 weeks ago... so that's pretty good for build, quality assurance, release to ship and final delivery.

No they don't. They try and build them in a 50/50 ratio.

The delivery times from being built is starting to get better. 3 days to montreal, now thats delivery!
I hope having factory stripes doesnt make it take that much longer

The only fly in the ointment is if your V6 is a MANUAL trans.

My dealers V8 has been shipped and I was in front at the dealer and pulled first at the ZONE and the 8 was to follow me.

Woohooo... I have finally advanced off of event #2030 to #3000!

My dealer has repeated that my car will be built in May, so the status moving is a great indicator of that. I remain taken cautiously optimistic.
