are toe links worth it

They look a little more involved to install than I really would want to do laying on my back in my garage. You have to lower the rear cradle to get the drivers side bolt out. Does not look fun with jack stands.

Toe link upgrade is very important, grab your kahunaas stop being a wuss and Get er done. I noticed more from my toelink swap than I did with my full cradle bushing upgrade, fact.

What did you notice? Anything at the drag strip?

Toe links are one of the critical components in reducing/eliminating wheel hop and improving traction. The wheel hop "trifecta" is sub frame bushing, trailing arms, and toe rods. Each contributes to limiting/eliminating some portion of the the movement and deflection that causes wheel hop. Toe rods fight the deflection that causes toe changes in the rear wheels under hard acceleration. This deflection reduces the contact patch of the rear tires thus reduces traction.

I've always heard they aren't as important as Trailing arms to get rid of wheel hop. I know that my trailing arms got rid of almost all of my wheel hop at the drag strip and I still have the OEM toe rods on mine. The toe rods are supposed to help but just not as much as the TAs....at least that's what I've read.

As far as install I don't think they are much harder than trailing arms but you will have to re-align your car afterwards so you should do it with other suspension parts.

Personally I would start with TAs (and bushings) first since they are easy to install, inexpensive, and don't require an alignment. Then if you're still getting wheel hop try cradle inserts....then try the toe rods. That is unless money isn't an issue and you can do them all at once along with a good alignment.

I'm not a suspension expert though....that's just what I'm doing based on what I've researched.

Toe links are very easy to install. Check out this tutorial.

From my upgrades, I would do Trailing arms as well as toelink arms and mine didn't require an alignment, only if you get the adjustable toelink arm and don't set them to equal length. Toe links keeps the car very straight line oriented and felt like it was on rails on the drag strip. Plus it reduced drag from the driveshafts half shaft by keeping them aligned properly fact. My car accelerated noticeably quicker after toe link installation.

The toe link arms are able to be bent pretty easily.
People have bent them without trying. Take one off and you will understand how wimpy they are.

An alignment is required when changing the toe links. The inner bolt is an eccentric adjuster bolt, so you should always have the alignment checked with removing it.

Got my T.A.'s and Toelinks from Spohn. Installed them in my driveway in about 3 hours from start to finish. I just made really good marks on Toelink bolts prior to removal. I can dump the clutch now with minimal wheel hop. I still need to do sub frame bushings.

If you're looking to eliminate wheel hop at the track all you need is a set of sticky tires, example: 18" ET Streets on C5 ZO6 wheels. We have in our club several guys with 600+ rwhp getting 1.5 - 1.6 60 ft times with completely stock suspensions and ET Streets.

If you're gonna use the stock tires at the track then the t/arms, toe rods and bushings will help. I've only done the trailing arms on mine and it did help eliminate alot of wheel hop when I still had the Pirellis.

Not worth it IMO. The upgraded toe links are cheap. Bushings only will save you maybe 30 bucks and its alot more work and you might even bend the stock toe-rods trying to press the bushings in or out.
