That dude practices his shifting every time her gets in AND out the car!! Does sets of "shifting exercises!!" ... unbelievable the work ethic. The results speak for themselves.

Ok I know this is an old thread but I figured I'd chime in since I've been a part of this race before. My friend has an e90 m3 with a street tune, gutted exhaust, suspension, and smg. I have a 13 1le camaro with lt's, open npp exhaust, and cai. No tune I put down 426/423, same day 15 minutes before me he put down 352/27x. I've been driving supercharged mustangs and f bodies for about 10 years no. I know that this doesn't make the world's greatest driver but it's not my first day on the job, and this is probably the easiest car to drive (slowest) car I've had in years. I hate to say it but his car walks mine from anything but a stupid fast pull. He runs 12.7@ 111 and I haven't gotten this car to the track yet. Those cars have 7 gears, fast shifting with the smg, and a pretty buttoned down suspension from the factory. Last night he walked away from an 04 ctsv with a maggie putting down supposedly 450whp. I don't know the v guy so I don't know what's up with his numbers but the m3 pulled it hard. Like bus lengths. I don't know how that m3 is so quick but I'm pretty impressed with the car. I'd imagine it's just stupid low gears. In the smg the 1:1 gear isn't until 7th lol.

I used to be big on BMW when they mostly had 3, 5 7, but as a result I have gone years without a Mustang or Camaro. American pony cars are more fun.

Yeah yeah.. this is my 1st 5th gen and I was honestly just looking for anyone else with different results. Figured I had to do a first post eventually, might as well bash my own car lol. Honestly I do love the car and I'm excited to tear it apart and start building.

I noticed this post of yours, Quote:
Dyno numbers are meaningless to me, albeit fun to look at, read, and ponder again at. Racing head to head is where the proof is at I've raced both latest renditions M3 and 1series with M package, Sledge won cleanly on all accounts, and this was on stock cam, and bolt-on's with tune. Indeed one can argue what mods did those two have on, if any at all? Who knows, just sayin' one man's race may not apply to an others, even if equipment used is similar . |
