Clean gutters. you can make 20-100 dollars per house. All you need is a house and a ladder. Get a friend to do it with you and leave flyers under doorsteps with your phone number. Pay your friend like 20% of the money to just spot you on the ladder or split it with him 50/50 and you guys just blow through houses. Fall time = leaves falling and people don't want to clean their own houses...

I hope you haven't thought like most kids in high school, now-a-days if they don't have money they say. "hey i know!" "what?" "lets make a rock band!"

thanks for the ideas everyone, yeah i have been saving money for a while and have 12k saved up already but that's been a lot of work and a lot of good stock choices with the money i made by my dad. It was kinda like, i made a thousand dollars, handed it to him and he played around with that thousand in the stock market and would get it up to 1500 in no time  haha gotta love that mad money show.. and yeah i think ima try that cleaning gutters thing. i love climbing on roofs... but then again, what guy doesn't?

Go be a lube tech at a dealership or oil change shop. That'll give you more car knowledge and a few bucks for your wallet.

Well thins brings bad news to me. I lost my job at the auto store suring the week end. Had to cut back on employees. So me and like 25 other guys took the cut. Its cool though I apply at gamestop tomarrow. Hopefully I can get a job there.

I'm going an interview tomorrow at a financial firm. Finding employment is not easy. I wish you the best of luck.

As long as you left on your own accord, it might not hurt to get a letter of recommendation on company letterhead from your previous boss. Send that to potential employers with a well-formated, professional resumé.

Y'all, it's nearly Christmas. Some stores need seasonal help(malls, etc). Call a temp agency.
I'd bet many of the big-box stores (target, bestbuy, etc) might just need some PT help. by the time "the season" is over, maybe you can find something better. I was a stock-dude at target for a long time. wasnt a bad gig back then. plus, after that, temp agencies placed me to decent places. nice thing with a temp agency is you can be a little more selective over where you get placed, and its easier to bail if the place sux. i did that until i built my trade skills (electronic engineering apprentice, corporate computer tech-not just hardware, software and networking, etc) and moved up from there. lots of companies need temp help when they upgrade their systems. you just walk from computer to computer and install/configue whatever they need. it isnt that hard. And on the low-tech route, people always need painters - and the dudes that prep the place for painting (masking, sanding, etc). just some ideas. good luck, guys! I wish you all the best. there's gotta be a way to git r done. find it!
