Plus definitely get a '15 SS instead of a '14... besides the choice of a m/t, the 15's also come standard with Mag Ride suspension and rear Brembo brake calipers instead of the previous sliding calipers in the rear.

I think there is an import limit of 3000 cars per year into the US so given the small number I have to ask who has seen any adverts of TV?
If there are adverts of TV how often compared to other models in the GM lineup?

How many are in dealerships being shown off?

The sales numbers are low because of your import restrictions and hence lack of advertising.

I'd call Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet. She'll have it delivered to you and there will be zero BS.

Believe me I thought about it... Maybe I'll pick up a used 15 someday after I win the lottery. After a lot of serious thought, I decided that it would be a smarter move financially for me to pick up a g8, then spend some cash on engine mods to pump it up rather than to run out and buy a new SS.

I picked up an 08 G8 GT here about 2 weeks back for 16.6k w/ 72k miles. I'll throw 3-4k at it and it will be a mid-low 12, high 11 second car. Not gonna get TOO wild with it, but it will probably smoke any stock SS at the drag strip.

That must be some kind of "import from Aus to US" rule? A new law?

There were appx 40,757 04-06 GTO's imported
About 12,000 2008 G8's imported, not sure about 09...

Can't be an "imported from anywhere rule" because something lik 500,000 Camaro's have come in from Canada.

Well maybe, he's saying that it's not from North America because both the united states and Canada is part of.

The info I got was from a senior manger at HSV in Australia, who mentioned the limitation, I believe he said it was a problem on your end in the US with importing the cars hence the quantity is kept at 3000 per year.
