I don't know even know where to start, but here goes...

This is a little belated but I received the call from my dealer last Friday night (6/19) that my car was delivered.

That same day in the AM, I saw for the first time on the road, a Victory Red Camaro SS as I was going to work and yes I had to follow him just to get a really good look. It was an omen.

I was soo stunned I forgot to snap some pics. But I did have the presence of mind of not being one of those "stupid" drivers that get into wrecks and fender benders just for the sake of getting a peek. I regained my focus and said to myself "Be patient, young cub...your time will come." So I drove up to the owner of that VR camaro, nodded at him as I was slowly inching by while he was taking a drag from his cancer stick and proceeded to bust a U-Turn to get back on my way to work. What a moment.

Mind you on this memorable week it was my birthday (6/15) and this past sunday was Father's day. My beautiful wife and kids (future owners my IOM) got me the Smallville seasons 1-4 and In between I get "the call". And yes I am a huge fan of the Man of Steel.

So if you are wondering what am I waiting for? Go get your car!!! Well you see, I live in Nothern Virginia and I ordered my car from Berger Chevy in Grand Rapids, MI. The connection lies with my wife since she is from Wolverine state of Michigan.(Go Blue!)

I used to live in Grand Rapids when I had my 01 SS and once I saw a Berger camaro, I decided that my next one would come from there.

So this whole week I've been busy with a newborn baby son, he'll be 4 weeks old when I pick up the IOM

and at the same time Fedexing paper work back and forth to Berger to finalize the deal. BTW, I paid MSRP..."no more no less!!!" (quote from Monty Python's Holy Grail). Dick Jacques (the only Camaro salesman at Berger) hooked me up and is treating me the way everyone should be handled.

My car has her stripes and is now getting prepped for a full front body clear-bra and window-tinting. The guy I am dealing with will install a 70% tint on the windshield and throw in a clear-coat protectant on the rear part of the car for $75. He is doing this so that he can post it on his website and the fact that I am his first camaro customer.

If you want the installers' company info, PM me. The rest of the car will be tinted at 35% all the way around. I'll leave it up to you guys to guess how much I paid for everything.

So to wrap this up, The family and I are gonna pack up the Tahoe on Thursday afternoon, hit the road and hopefully make it to Toledo, OH so that the drive to Grand Rapids the next day, will be manageable. The final leg of that drive will probably be the longest 186 miles I will experience. After taking delivery, we will drive 2 hours north to Traverse City will stay the weekend to show off the car to the in-laws. My nephews will freak out. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces.

One more thing, I will trailer-queen her back to VA since stopping every 2 hours to feed my son is not an option.

Thanks to "Prima"Donna and everyone else for the support. T-minus 1 week and counting...

Without further a due...my IOM 2SS/RS. If I left out something, I apologize. I'm a little tired from the sleepless nights and its only gonna get worse with the new baby and all.

Theses are the pics that my dealer took and emailed, so don't crush me about the angles.

Do you find yourself standing in you garage and just staring at your car? Beautiful car!!! That was a fast delivery... 3 days after production.

He went all the way up to Michigan just to get the Berger dealer badge.

I was gonna ask if Berger did any mods to the car? Aren't they one of the dealers famous for that?

Berger is famous for selling COPO camaros... just like Don Yenko but without the stripe package or embroidery.

Hey NYG71, St. Ignace car show is Saturday, as long as you are in Traverse City keep going to Mackinac Bridge to go to one of the best shows in the state.

Grats on the car neighbor! Not only am I in Northern Va too, my VIN is 2 off from yours lol (18178). And to top off the coincidence, mine has been shipped (2 weeks now) and I'm hoping that I'll have it by next Friday for my trip to Traverse City for Cherry Festival!
