SO every week I fly somewhere, usually its a city in Texas. I always rent from Avis so I can see the Camaros. This week they had CGM's, Black, VR, one IOM & 3 Sims. As much as I thought the IOM was cool & with dark tinted window it would be very hot. My ultimate car would be a IBM with SIM stripes painted on, but I just can't deal with the scratches & swirls on a dark metallic painted car. That being said. The SIM I have to admit just looked so much better to me than all the rest, and its the same feeling I get every time I walk through Avis. The guy I ordered from was MSRP & only a $99 dealer fee, but what is that worth if you cant get the car in a reasonable time frame? Hell I just want to know when its going to move off of 1100. Anybody know of any dealerships around Central Fl with any allocations that are not trying to rip-off there customers? At this point I'm willing to give up on my GMS to just order at MSRP & get a production date....

Her 2LT RS V6 they had just gotten in so there was no wait. My V8 is took roughly 6 to 7 weeks to come in

As long as your dealer truly has an immediate open allocation, it should take 6 to 8 weeks barring any snags in QC.

I agree...everytime I think I want to put stripes on mine, I decide it looks better clean. I am going to install some Black Fade Gill insterts from Autotrimdesign on mine in the next couple of days. That will probably be the only external mod other than maybe SS badges below the Camaro on the front panel.

I still like the looks of the Cyber Gray Rallys but I always come back to that clean look. Looks great both ways because it is a SIM and they never look bad

Here are a couple of badge pics I was messing around with. These are stuck on with scotch tape to take pics. I have not actually used any of these badges yet as I cannot make my mind up as to where I want them or if I will even use them at all....

Since it's an RS, I like the red SS under the Camaro - 2nd pic. And I agree with you about the stripes - SIM looks better without them. But then I'm not a fan of the stripes to begin with...

Since GM is losing the GM corporate logo below the Camaro emblem, have you thought about putting the SS there?

I've seen other silver cars were paint shops sort of etch the paint (I don't know what the real terminology is, sorry), but the effect is sort of a checker pattern. Wish I had a picture. It sort of looks like glass etching. That would look good through the middle of the hood. Hope you can picture it in your head....mine hurts from trying to explain!!

I replaced my Factory GM Matte Vinyl Rally Stripes with Painted on / Clear-Coated Factory look Rally Stripes that came out nice and shiny/glossy compared to the plain flat matte finish stripes ....

Keep the SIM pics coming! The SIM is my favorite due to it having the ability to go to the party Classy or Sporty.....for some reason when I see one parked somewhere or going down the road, it just looks like a 80K+ car

What more could you ask for out of a car and the icing on the cake...it's a Camaro!
