Where was this Blue wire ? I was looking to hook my GPS to the shark fin to get a better signal and mount the unit lower on the dash.

Isn't it the blue cable that connects into the OnStar module?

The blue connector is the GPS antenna, the purple connector is the cell (OnStar) antenna connector.

PS. Both FAKRA coax cables connect to the OnStar VCIM module, along with two other regular multi-wire plugs...

Heads up, just received word that Joe/Chris have a 2010 Camaro CoStar/Bluestar module up and running! No word back to me yet as to when they will have them for sale, but can't be too much longer!

@saabsonic
But this will only work when you already have installed an onstar BT module?

It replaces your OnStar module. This only functions as a BT hands free kit for your car. OnStar will no longer be able to access your car.

That would be absolutely great as I dont have to bother getting hold of an onstar module anymore....

Any idea when this will be available?

Atlas, you would need to verify that you have the following connectors white connectors behind your glove box:

Heard back from CoStar... We can go ahead and order our 2010 GM BlueStar modules @ $279 including shipping, and it will include coding for our 2010 Camaros, I ordered mine last night. Currently there is about a two week back order. Again, I believe that in addition to loosing OnStar you will also loose the little compass indicator in the bottom right corner of your speedo/tach info panel, since I don't see a GPS antenna connector on the BlueStar box, but I may be wrong about this? Will post more info when I receive and install mine in a couple of weeks.

I'm also following SSDrifter's lead and connecting my shark fin cell antenna to a cell repeater/amp I'm adding... so that my ATT iPhone will have the advantage of 3-watts and a roof-mount antenna. I'll be posting pictures and siome more info on installation and connectors on that thread in the next day or two, thanks again to SSDrifter!

PS. I'll also be connecting my shark fin's GPS antenna to my console-mounted Garmin to improve GPS reception, since it won't be used (I believe) by the BlueStar box.

Excellent news! Received word today from PayPal that CoStar has shipped my BlueStar box. When I receive it later this week I'll have it in and report back. I'm interested to see how it compares with the very good, (but OnStar dependent,) factory Verizon hands-free system. Since it seemed impossible to add the GM Bluetooth hands-free option to my 1SS, I went third-party with CoStar.
