The 1st shot I was at ISO250, f/2.0, 8 second shutter speed, auto wb. The 2nd shot I cranked it up to 800iso but closed the aperature to f/4.5, also 8 seconds.

I was messing with different settings trying to see which captured the stars better.

I was going to ask as the ground looks lit, and the reflections on the car say there was some kind of of light source...

That's a good/fun technique. I took this shot with ~30 second exposure to get the sky and used a hand-held spotlight on the foreground for about 8 of those seconds. Good times...
