Wheel Hop and slippage, ?

Morning everyone, had camaro v6 auto for 8 mos. has 6500 miles, anyway last few days when I take off from dead stop it sometimes feels like Im peeling out (but im not) twice it felt like rear wheel was hopping. Does not do it all the time but I was wondering if anyone else has had similar issue so I can be a little more informed when I take it to dealer. Im wondering if its a traction control problem?

Sounds like you are having "clutch issues". From what you discribe, it sounds like you are getting clutch chatter caused from a burnt clutch. Just a guess.

tranny has always felt strange in this car, almost like a scooter or lawnmower with pressure plates.

It could be that rear tires have much less tread than before this "issue" started happening. I doubt there is anything mechanically wrong. Bet it is the tires.

PlantCityPete, I would suggest getting the vehicle checked over by your dealership to make sure that this isn't a bigger issue than what has been speculated here. It shouldn't be difficult to point them in the correct direction. Hopefully they are able to diagnose and repair this issue for you. Please keep us up to date on this issue as it evolves. Thank you.
