We do it with tractor tires using starter fluid. It's about the only way to seal the bead in the pasture.

Never seen it with WD exactly but still have seen it lots of times. Doesnt always work that well either.

We've done it many times in the sand dunes when a buggy tire pops a bead. Great way to get back rolling again when out in the middle of no where. We did have one paddle tire explode. Lesson learned...don't spray too much starting fluid

use to do that at the dirt track to set the bead.. work like a champ

The Polar Bear used starter fluid on Ice Road Truckers. Worked like a charm.
