Friends are friends and stuff happens.

You should tell him, and make him pay for it. One of my friends totaled another friends truck (while drunk ) and he paid for it. It doesn't matter what state you're in, you're still responsible, and if he really is as good of a friend as you say he is, he should step up to the plate.

Sorry for your car , That friend needs to pay up at the very least , How anyone drunk or not could just climb in your car and do that is crazy,

Sounds to me that your friend is jealous of your car being faster and the booze had given him enough courage to do what he has wanted to do for a long time. Friends and family will always hurt you...because enemies never get that close. I just hope you don't get a hotter girl friend and if you do don't leave her with your friend. That really sucks and I hope it all works out.

if it'd been an accident, that woulda been one thing. that retard was plastered & though it'd be funny to go blasting around the neighborhood like Mario Andretti on stupid pills. make him pay!

a few years ago, i let my best friend borrow my truck to move his stuff & he accidentally set the parking brake too far & snapped the pedal/cable assembly. he felt worse about it than i did, so i just fixed it myself.

your friend was a 'tard & needs to learn his lesson

Well a couple of things...did he really break your car or was it a break aout to happen anyway? Just by stepping into it a redlining shuld not have broken your car, looks like you have lots of mods and could be a defective build quality. But if he did break your car, riends dont take friends cars and drive like fools....and again IF he is your real friend and did break it ghe would step frwars and volunteer to fix it. If not you must question his friendship.:fighting00 56:

You might want to consider changing all the springs, not just the broken one. The way he " floated " the valves, I can't imagine not bending one too. Don't know if they are stock valves, if they are, have them checked out.

Wouldn't even consider not making him pay for all the damages.

5 pages of posts with the recommendation of making him pay, as well as re-think who is really your friend... I think you already know the answer. Good luck.
