To all of you who have had no problems with your vehicles thats awesome hope it stays that way...I can honestly say this I followed the break in period to the letter I am not a racer and dont I MEAN DON'T abuse my Camaro It was my dream car for many years I believe I've taken my current car over 80 4-5 times, I've done 80 in previous cars hundreads of times and no problems...I just believe its bad luck i've read up on this forum and trust me I'm not the only one with the Torque Converter Issue. So Please refrain for suggesting that it may be Me....Im just frustrated and Pissed and needed to vent......

Sorry to hear but I thought the 2012 torque converters had something wrong and just needed to be replaced. In other words -- yeah it failed once with each of your two cars but now that it's been replaced it's fixed and you should be fine. It's just that you happened to buy two cars that hadn't had the faulty torque converter fixed... Am I off base?

So, not just me then. I have a V6 2LT RS. My replacement torque converter just got ordered today. The car is only a year old...To say I'm upset is an understatement. This is not a small thing.

I had 24,000 on my 2010 LLT automatic and so far I have 14,000 on my 2012 LFX automatic and no issues with either the engine or transmissions on either car. I do tend to drive them pretty hard, especially the 2012 since I installed the new exhaust.

Just had my oil changed about a week ago anf it was 1-2 litres low. My mechanic was suprised about how little oil he got out of the pan. Anyhoo, he said to check my fluids more often (between changes). He also noted that my engine coolant was low too so it's not just the oil gremlin at work.
