To all of you who have had no problems with your vehicles thats awesome hope it stays that way...I can honestly say this I followed the break in period to the letter I am not a racer and dont I MEAN DON'T abuse my Camaro It was my dream car for many years I believe I've taken my current car over 80 4-5 times, I've done 80 in previous cars hundreads of times and no problems...I just believe its bad luck i've read up on this forum and trust me I'm not the only one with the Torque Converter Issue. So Please refrain for suggesting that it may be Me....Im just frustrated and Pissed and needed to vent......

Sorry to hear but I thought the 2012 torque converters had something wrong and just needed to be replaced. In other words -- yeah it failed once with each of your two cars but now that it's been replaced it's fixed and you should be fine. It's just that you happened to buy two cars that hadn't had the faulty torque converter fixed... Am I off base?

So, not just me then. I have a V6 2LT RS. My replacement torque converter just got ordered today. The car is only a year old...To say I'm upset is an understatement. This is not a small thing.

I had 24,000 on my 2010 LLT automatic and so far I have 14,000 on my 2012 LFX automatic and no issues with either the engine or transmissions on either car. I do tend to drive them pretty hard, especially the 2012 since I installed the new exhaust.

I am so frustrated at first I thought it was me doing something wrong but I Never took either vehicle over 70 for the first 1500miles and was very careful with the break in period on both vehicle's. Problem is I am stuck with this car because I owe to much on it so as of right now I just dont enjoy my car I mean for god sakes they are brand new cars my 1st car only had 5500 miles and my current car only has 7000miles only just shouldn't happen...Very disappointed in GM and the Camaro sorry I know alot of you will disagree but stuff like this just shouldn't happen to new vehicles thank God for Warrenties.
Thanks for letting me vent...Oh and also it has prevented me from doing the Mods I really want in fear of it breaking down...

We all know about the oil goblin of the LLT and its truly not acceptible in todays standerds. I dont know one individual other than my car fanatics who check their oil regularly. The most bring it to their dealers every 3-5k and have an oil change done.

Just had my oil changed about a week ago anf it was 1-2 litres low. My mechanic was suprised about how little oil he got out of the pan. Anyhoo, he said to check my fluids more often (between changes). He also noted that my engine coolant was low too so it's not just the oil gremlin at work.
