Plus I read the CTS stock motor doesn't have the same HP. The Camaro DI v6 motor is an upgraded option for the CTS car.
Is your friends car a base CTS motor ot the upgraded one the camaro has? I thought of going to test drive a CTS to get a feel for the power, lol

Yes it definitely has the ability although I'm sure the Camaro being geared more aggressive will do it at a much easier clip...ps check out my new thread

Yes - the V6 camaro should smoke the tires quite competently, considering its crazy first gear.

This is my first post. I am also considering the V6, even though my initials are ss and my birthday was the production launch date of Mar 16. This direct injection V6 is awesome. I have read alot of reviews and most people say it feels fast for the entry level. Plus vehicle cost & insurance & gas. Would like to have heated leather seats in a 2LT. Last summer wife and I purchased her grocery getter, a new 08 HHR 2LT and am very pleased so far. My family has always been GM. I would like to order my camaro, not just for me but to help show others on the street that GM is worth saving.

A 6 is my choice and I make no appologies for it...

It has everything I need and probably a bit more. Even if it wasn't a daily driver, you cannot beat the hp, mpg, price and looks.
And on that note unless someone knows the difference in badging and the fake hood scoop on the 8 everyone will assume its one bad m***erf***er!
Which it is, as a V6 or V8!

Honestly dude, I would not get the v6. For the $$ you will spend on that there are far better cars to get.

For example

a 1lt v6 will run 24k plus $2kin taxes etc. so that is 26,000$

how about an 05 ls2 GTO for @19,000$ 400hp dude.

I think we can all agree that this may be a good idea for you to consider.

Don't get caught up in the hype of the new camaro, or any new car.

Maybe even look at a G8 GT you can get those for 28k new.

do what you got to do, as far as changing your behavior for a politician, do you think that is wise ?

I seriously thought about the V6, but this isn't going to be a daily driver for me so I opted for the higher end toy

Plus I only live about 3 miles from my work so even if I drove it every day isn't going to save that much on fuel or my "carbon foot print" ...
