PZero Rosso?

I've searched the forums and haven't found what I'm looking for so I apologize if I am reopening a can of worms. My stock Pzero's have come to the end of their life (for my 2011 2SS/RS). I ordered Pzero's from Discount Tire (local store) and have had the rears replaced (fronts are on their way in now). I noticed that the tread pattern is different on the replacements than the OE tires. I was not aware that there are a few varieties of PZero's until going to Pirelli's website. I've looked at TireRack.com and DiscountTire.com and the only variants that I've seen there are PZero and Pzero run flats. After looking into it further, and looking closer at the sidewalls of my new tires, I see that they are the Rosso version.

So what's the story here? Is Rosso the new OE or ????

Not the same tire. To see the differences, click on 'Details', then on the next page: 'Tire Details'.

Yeah, I've never tried the Rosso, and for the driving you do it might be fine. It looks to have more of an 'All Season" tread though. Personally I'd stick with the OEM tire too if it has worked well for you...

I have a set of 305/35/20 Pzero Rosso's on the rear of my car now. The previous rears on on the front.

Let me just say......Stay away from the Rosso's. The grip on these tires are horrendous. Its like i added 200hp to my car cause they break loose everwhere, I honestly thought they covered my tires with grease. But 1200 miles in they still suck. I can mash the gas up to about 40mph and the tires will kick out. Yes its fun, but you try to get on your car it goes no where but sideways under 40....Sucks cause they were expensive
