Headers are a great bolt on for adding power but if you really want to add serious power nitrous is the best bang for your buck. Modern systems added to late model EFI engines are safer then you would think. You can add an easy 100 rwhp for less then the price of a set of headers.

I would say cheapest, other than nitrous, would be the off road catless mid pipes with a cai and tune but nothing beats LT headers, cai and tune combo for the best bolt on power gains. Track gains would be a properly selected high quality torque converter for the L99 cars hands down single best bolt on in terms of track gains vs cost, other than FI and Nitrous of course. Catback exhaust would probably be the worst bang for your buck mod as far as performance goes.

Sorry about that. I forgot about the .1% of L99 owners who track at a road course. Should have specified 1/4 track. My bad. Never been on a road course and probably never will but I dont see why a properly built stall couldnt help on that track either. Granted its not going to be as good as tires, brakes and supension but it still should help.

a big stall on a road course could be down right dangerous.

I'm waiting for China to produce a supercharger for our cars so we can buy them for cheap. Imagine getting a supercharge for 500 bucks or cheaper..

Thats why I specified properly selected and built stall.
I dont see why a properly speced and built stall for its usage couldnt keep the car in the powerband going through a turn and then accelerating out of it. Since only a small minority of L99 owners race on a road course please educate us on why a properly speced and built stall won't be good idea for that application. I'm sure there are at least a few who want to know.

OK - it's not their "deluxe" model.....but, its available, very cheap (under $500), & thermally efficient.....

The best bang for you buck bolt on is long tube headers for sure. Nice 30HP+ extra!

Thumbs up Solo high flow cats

Solo high flow cats ...not quite as cheap as cold air intake, but 15 extra hp, and much better sounding exhaust. Sort of like a double mod.
