Is it just me?
Why would Chevy opt to have a HUD option over something like Auto climate control? I find it very frustrating to have to fiddle with the A/C and fan every few minutes to get to the right temp inside the cabin. I love my Maro otherwise but don't think the powers that be got this one right. This feature is becoming a standard nowadays in many lesser cars. I'd love a power start button over a HUD come to think of it. I could probably rattle off many other features I'd like over a HUD. Where are these protesters that HAD to have a HUD?? I've never really noticed any threads on this forum that demanded this item as a must-have. Anyhoo, that's my 2 cents.

Power start buttons are sooooo 1930. HUD -is- a .must have. As stated above, "lesser" cars all have commonplace features like auto freeze/burn/blow controls. Very few cars have a Head's up Display. Jet fighters have HUDs too. HUD > LazyMatic. Q.E.D. |

Booooosted.

There wasn't necessarily a cry for it. But it was being developed from the beggining. And there are older threads of plenty people who wanted it.

haha, no need to freak out on the guy! i don't know what auto climate control you've used previously, but in my last ride, it was perfect. set it 20 deg C and that was it! this one you do kinda have to play around with it to figure out where 20 deg C may be.
As for luxury features...really? this is a camaro in 2010..auto climate control is as "luxurious" as auto dimming mirrors, blue tooth, and this thing's got ON STAR, leather, etc..a lot of stuff that can be "luxurious" and that we don't "need" not asking for massaging chairs or even air conditioned vented seats...just auto climate controls. that said, as cool as HUD is...it provides pretty little benefit compared to the current set up..where my eyeballs look downwards for like half a second. Compare that to auto climate control, and i don't see the big deal for wanting it.

Climate control would be nice, but what I want are power seat presets...

we have -- and will continue -- the discussion of these issues with the "12 Disciples of which there are 15" -- and continue to look at what our enthusiasts and intenders want.....
The HUD was something very high on the list - Automatic Climate control, as I recall, was much further down on the list -- well below "memory seats" and "Power Passenger Seat" --

HUD makes useful performance info easily available while driving the vehicle hard. A/C is the first thing to get ripped out in a race car. I've had climate control and it's no better. I found myself constantly adjusting the temp up or down. I'll take a dial that stays where I put it.

I too, being the driver was having a difficult time finding the sweet spot so I could see over the hood and not feel like I was hovering over everything else inside. I took it in for its first oil change and found when I got it back the technician did just that. Having the wheel pushed all the way back into the dash and lowering it just enough to see the gauges works best for me, otherwise it becomes a chore to get in and out without hitting the wheel. More importantly, he somehow found the perfect seat position and I haven't touched it since. It almost felt like a different car when I got it back.

Please dont make us pay for climate control. I can work my own AC and Heat. Push button start is so weird and alien. I had to drive her Rav-4 last night with the push button. Oddly enough and think she bought it for that reason.
