Power window squeaks??

I am a new owner of the 2LT V6 Rally Sport. I've only had the car for a few months but I'm annoyed by the power windows squeaking a little both when they drop/rise for the door opening/closing and when rolling them up and down otherwise. Is that normal? What can I do about it? Should I take it to the dealer for warranty adjustment?

May just be from rubbing on the rubber weather strip. Try some armorall on the rubber.

Mine was rubbing the weather stripping. I had it replaced under warranty. Problem solved.

Squeaks (anywhere) in new cars are not "normal". See your local Chevy dealer.

Might be something wrong. Perhaps loose or out of alinement.

We apologize for the dissatisfaction you are experiencing. I would suggest going to the dealership to see if they can adjust this for you under warranty. Please let us know how everything goes.

Mine has been doing it too since the weather has gotten dry. I think it just needs to be lubed

2006 Impalas had a problem with the seal at the bottom of the windows. Known issue and routinely replaced under warranty. Might be a similar situation here.

Mine squeeked. I fixed it when I replaced my mirrors. Its just a matter of adjusting the weather stripping.

My 2010 Taurus did that after an extended period of dry weather (or not wahsing it). A little water down in there, no more noise.

Your not suggesting that he trade down from a Camaro with a minor window sqeak to a Ford with leaking weather seals are you? JK

It's amazing how many people will run to the dealer for some bull like this. Doesn't anyone have ANY mechanical abilities? Jeez take the panel off and take a look, it's not totaled!

Mine was fine till recently, now drivers side does it when opening the door only, more then a squeek though and lubing the seal doesnt do it. Could just be needing adjustment.
