I never had a baby, but....

I never had a baby, but I was thinking about ordering a Camaro for myself, since my son drove off in the one I bought and took delivery on last Saturday. I got to drive it for an hour.....

And it occurred to me, this must be how a woman has more than one child...
Bear with me (no pun intended)....

After the birth of our first child, I was certain there wouldn't be a second... the pain and humiliation a woman goes through in the delivery process after months of being in the "expectant" condition, I thought pretty much guaranteed that I would have one daughter and no more.

But, amazing as it is, after a short while, women seem to forget about the agony of gestation and delivery, and are willing to go through it all repeatedly for the end result.... their baby.

So now. as the father of four children, I get it....

So I am willing to be brave and enter the "gestation" period again, and endure the agony of impending delivery for the thrill of the birth of my second Camaro, a Summit White/Orange Rally Stripe IOM interior 2LT/RS with polished 20's, M6 and a sunroof..... conception day 6/15!! (ok, that's kind of a gross metaphor)

And to think I was willing to have children without even knowing their gender ahead of time.....

Here's a revelation, make your kid buy his own car while at the same time instilling the value of a dollar and some independancy into him and you could have already had "your baby". Don't worry, the dude here in town that paid 5K over MSRP for the V6 Camaro at the dealer for his kid got razzed too. I just find it amazind how many young adults are still fed by the silver spoon.
Wow, I mean I get what your sayin but...
I can only speak for myself... If my sons make all the right decisions growing up, stay in school and do well, keep outa trouble, make me a proud dad which they do everyday now, I would be happy to reward them with whatever I could afford. I agree that everyone should work for what they get but if you raise your kids right, they'll already know that working hard is part of the equation.

I have a feeling that this man's son deserved it for some reason. Congrats to you both.

Wow, that's weird. That caustic response about making my son buy his own car to instill values in him never made it onto my screen, so I don't know who posted that.

Your instincts are correct. My son has worked hard both in school and in general since he was little. He's always stayed out of trouble, always displayed the courage to lead instead of follow.

In May of 07 we sold his Mustang and he went on a church mission halfway around the world, paid his own way. He interrupted his football career at a small university in Virginia to do it. He returned home last month, and I wanted to surprise him with his car, but production delays, blah, blah.... it didn't happen.

I get why people are cynical about today's youth, just like we're cynical about today's car dealers. But we can still celebrate the good ones, right? ....Right? ....

This forum does a lot to support the fair and honest dealerships.

The problem is, will they survive and not the gougers? That's a problem.

Go GM really should let us pic the master list to close and it would be the best, most honest chosen to stay open. Not the gougers.

It's funny you should mention that. I ordered the Camaro in October, and my wife got pregnant with our 2nd child in November. I am just wondering if the car or the baby are going to be delivered first...... At this rate, the baby may win.

Then the Camaro back seat will be perfect, because there's just enough room for two car seats with very little people in them, and that's about it.
Sounds like both baby and car are in QC hold.......... my money's on the car in your driveway before the baby comes!
