Plasti Dip Mufflers??

Just wondering, has anyone has plasti dipped their (trashcan) mufflers??

I'm thinking about doing it, but not sure if the heat will do anything to the plasti-dip

Any pics/insight is appreciated

Seems like poor paint prep to me, to be honest

There's high temp paints that I used to use on my tubular headers that can take 1000*F and more

Here's something like you'd want, but you have to stop looking at Lowe's for high performance automotive products :

agreed with above - hi temp BBQ will work for years if the surface is clean and free of oils..scrub several times with brake clean and alcohol before putting it on. My 09 honda exhaust is till looking like the day we did it....but any hi temp engine paint from autoparts store will work

PD is hit or miss on exhaust - I know one that is fine, another that it discolored....

Plasti dip works fine. Had it on mine for a year before I got rear ended. Have it on my tips now. No problems
