2010 Camaroo SS gas mileage

I just took 2 400 mile round trips with the Camaro and got 20.4 mpg on the first trip and 19.6 mpg on the second, my numbers were for actual distance/gallons not using the est. mpg on the car. trying to figure out if these are good numbers considering my mods and lead foot. i would say most of both trips were cruising at about 75-80 mph on average. Would my mileage difference be significant had i went 65 mph? the second trip had about 1.5 hours of stop and go traffic getting out of NY.

Thanks,
Charlie

Most V8 owners are reporting 26-30 MPG all highway.
I would say back it down to 65, the numbers should go up.

But if you're talking interstate it'll be 21-25. Real highway (55mph) could definitely be higher!

Then again I don't think anyone buys an SS for MPGs

I get 30 mpg when I'm going downhill with a 60 mph tailwind.

I get 27mpg with my SS with LS3 going 70mph, I also get 20mpg with my ZL1 going 80mph both on the highway.

34-35 with my LLT V6 HWY with only a couple of mods.

I think the LS has a different rear end than the LT. It's certainly geared toward fuel economy! I have to really curb my driving habits to get 28mpg. Usually 24-26 highway, 22 in town.
