Crazy nooby question....
Hey all,
I think I know the answer but would it be possible to switch from my auto tranny to a manual tranny? I know it would take some head work but what else would it involve? Marc |

Possible yes...cheaper to trade in your auto for a manual car though. Long list of parts needed and changed. Im guessing into 5 digits to swap.

It probably wouldn't be as hard as you think. The M6 guys switch over to auto all the time. There is a 4L80E swap by DietCoke over on LS1tech that might give you an idea of how involved it is. It's backwards from what you're asking obviously, but reverse it.
Tuning and electrical would be another (big) area of concern. You don't need head work. You get to keep your VVT L99 engine. You'll just have a M6 instead of boring box. ::EDIT:: Actually I think he's going stock auto tranny to 4L80E. http://**************************-cama...en-camaro.html
