Front end Vibration??

Trying to figure out what is causing my SS to vibrate when braking and slowing down from speeds above 45mph...under 45mph the car is fine but when I go on the highway and have to slow down the whole front end shakes and vibrates until I get under 45 mph...what could this be?? any ideas??

Chances are it's a warped rotor

How many miles on the car? I guess it could be a tire balance outta wack, but usually if it happens when you hit the brake, it's a warped rotor.

Do you drive your car hard? And maybe brake hard? I too had that same situation today when I went to the dealer along with my breaks running low. I got new brake pads. He showed me on the rotors where I believe he said a faint 'blue" ring around my rotor. he show me it being warped.

How many miles since it was sitting for the winter? Maybe the tires have flat spots from sitting (if that's the case, after some miles, they should even out).

Did you replace the rotors 5k ago? (If so, what kind of rotors are on there), or did you have the original ones cut?

Right on... It's a rotor and you should always replace pads. If rotors are fairly new, they might be able to be turned/resurfaced and save you some $$$.

See if they have a warranty on the rotors...now the trick is to try and figure out which one is warped.

Did you over torque the lugs? Over torquing can warps rotors.
