z/28: 110 mph at the top. 42mph at the Apex. 84mph top speed at the bottom.

They did give the Z/28 the highest marks attainable in the cornering dynamics as well as the straight line dynamics (braking, throttle response and control).

The Laguna Seca Z/28 vid is up.
I am not disappointed since I am sure at the end of this test week, Randy will say that when all the Driver aids are turned off that the Z/28 is what he would like to wheel around race tracks.
The turbo cars can not be held on a knife edge without traction control, one needs the linear throttle control a NA motor has.
Thank you.

A lot of money. What made you choose the Z/28 above all high end performance cars at that price range?

I'm interested as well.

For a minute I was a little bummed that the Z/28 times weren't closer to the 911 Turbo S but, you really pay for that additional oomff to the tune of $100K more so really, I think the Porsche is a great car with a price point that reflects it. And likewise with the Z/28.

Once the Z/28 warranty is up you can go to town on the motor, 1,000 hp has easily been done on the LS7

I've had a bunch of different cars over the years, but as an Aussie, I always come back to V8s.

I've had a 45th anniversary Camaro for the last few years and it never fails to make me smile when I start her up. It's all about the noise....

When the ring video came out in October last year, I was hooked after 30 seconds, and had to get one. Must have watched it 20 times and never get tired of it. I bought a 997 GT3 earlier this year and I was, and still am, more excited about the Z/28.

For the money, I think the Z/28 is a performance bargain over here, when compared to the others. Additionally, with most new cars going to FI, I wanted one of the last "dinosaurs" of the big displacement NA track cars. I live 2hrs away from both the ring and Spa so the Z/28 will get plenty of time there....

I've got a Holden Monaro (Pontiac GTO to you guys), and I replaced the LS1 with a twin turbo LS7 that dynoed over 830 at the rear wheels. It has been a lot of fun, but also I think a flawed concept. We did it before the LS9 came out and with hindsight, the LS7 isn't strong enough for that application.

At some point I will upgrade the LS7 in the Z/28 but definitely keeping it NA for optimum track use. Seems such a shame for the Z/28 to be held back from her potential by the strangled stock LS7.

I do but there's not much on there, mostly old stuff. More recently I got a GoPro to use for my rallying which is such a fantastic piece of kit and have uploaded some of that.

Will post up some vids after I pick up the Z/28 from the importer next week.
