Tranny "Knocking" noise at low RPM
Its been like this ever since I picked it up off the truck months ago.
When I'm in first and lets say im pulling into a parking spot at the gas station or whatever and I press the clutch in.... I get this sound as if 2 45 pound weights are hitting eachother..... Imagine the sound you hear when you bench press with multiple weights.... A "friend" tells me that the car has a triple clutch and thats just them hitting eachother, and he said its normal...... Well I believed him and like I said, its been months now and I just cant stand when it does it. It only happens when I'm in first at a low MPH (lets say 8) and press in the clutch. It doesnt happen all the time, and it doesnt sound like its bad. It hasnt gotten worse or louder. Can anybody shine any light on the subject? |

Happens when you press the clutch pedal in rapidly....like you are stomping on a spider that's about to attack your significant other who is standing on a kitchen stool.
Press the pedal smoothly about half way and then send it home and it will not happen.....unless there is another issue. BTW, also happened in my 04 GTO with a T56. |

aye when I do press the clutch i tend to press it pretty fast, make no mistake im not trying to run the clutch pedal through the firewall but i now that i think of it I can see myself pushing in too fast.
I will try to press its slow and see if it does it again. BTW does that damage anything? |

tell the Tranny to stop knocking on the bottom of your car or you are going to peel out on "her" face.
And that sounds normal under that situation...do the smooth takeup and you should be fine. |

Yep Mine does the same thing, gotta learn the right technique. Once its in muscle memory, you'll be fine.
