Rattle coming from exhaust

So I have had this exhaust for around 3 years now and have noticed recently that it appears to have started rattling. I have checked the rear hangers and do not see a problem, when I started the vehicle with my head near the exhaust it sounds like it is coming from somewhere further up in the vehicle. I cant hear the rattle from the inside of the vehicle either. Obviously getting under this vehicle is not easy so any suggestions on where I should check would be appreciated.

Could be the heat shield is loose near the H pipe area.

I had a similar sound from the test pipe resonator that came with my headers, the guts were loose. I pulled that piece out and replaced with a piece of straight pipe.

Check all the connections too.

I probably should have specified that it is an axle back and welded on instead of using a clamp. I will check the shield near the h pipe to see if it it loose.

How many miles on the car? If no one has been under the car in a while and it has around 100K miles on it and the heat shields are stable, I'd say you've got a dead or dying catalytic converter.

They will often start to rattle (death rattle?) at the end of their service life.

It has about 45,000 miles on it and the exhaust was done around 20-22,000 miles. Other than general maintenance nobody has been under it since the exhaust was originally done.
