Ask the Mole on his thread. He's one of the quality inspectors on the line. If it's a commong problem, he will know what to do. Look for the thread entitled "Yes, I work on the..."

I'm not concerned about the actual fault (lord knows my son's car had his share) that the dealer had to fix, my question is "how do these defects go un-noticed and the car shipped"?? Seems to me with all the hoopla over "Quality Being Job One" something like this should have never reached the dealer let alone the buyer.

Is anyone looking these cars over before they ship or get delivered?

I have no doubt that the QC people are doing a great job, just got to be aware that no matter how well they do their jobs, there will occasionally be something slip through on them it is human nature. Hell, that could have happened during shipping or after delivery, we may never know.

My thoughts exactly! Thats why you go over your vehicle with a fine tooth comb (with salesman) before driving off the lot. I know I will be looking over all these problem areas mentioned on this forum.

this happened after i got the car .i went over and over and over with my wife there were no problems this happened after the fact maybe i hit a bump to hard .i dont know . today i went to the dealer to fix this problem ,i posted pictures in beginning of thread.as of right now he said there is no fix for it .these cars are to new to them and they dont know what to do as of now .he is waiting for gm to put out a memo on this fix .also right pillar post keeps falling off dont have a fix yet .that is understandable right now .if you start to take something apart and you dont have backup clips or shit like that i can understand .but as of now i will be the lab rat when gm tells them what to do .if anyone has gotten these problems fixed .please post on how to do it so i can let my dealer know thanks for everybodies help

Did you ask the Mole ? I'd pm him or find his thread and post your problem. He'll get back to you pretty quick.
