I have noticed 3rd being a bit more tricky than the rest as well. When trying to shift real quick I've missed it a couple times. Also noticed it even when not trying to shift real quick. It just doesn't seem to want to go from 2nd to 3rd as easily as the rest. Maybe it's just me though...

If the synchros are going or gone, you can get into a gear by revving up the motor to correleate the previous "speed" of the transmission.
If you have to do this, your synchros are shot. You have to increase engine rpm in order to engage 2nd or 3rd. I had the same problem in my Trans Am...

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
