2017 front/rear bowtie

I want to replace the stock (gold) bowtie emblems on my Camaro with black ones. Can anyone explain to me the best way to remove these, without damaging the grill?

I plan on replacing my red SS symbols with black ones as well..

I've seen a video where they drill two holes in the bowtie, but not all the way through the piece that the gold bowtie is set in. Then they used a screwdriver to pry it out and then set the new one in. May need some glue or the new ones might come with double sided tape.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

Thanks. Yea I saw that too, just makes me nervous haha. I guess I'm going to end up doing that though since it looks fairly easy.

I believe this is if you are replacing the gold center section only and reuse the chrome base. If you are replacing the entire emblem it would be different.

As someone mentioned, there are quite a few feeds on this already. But in any case, spray between the emblem and grill with some WD-40 or other lubricant. Then pry from the left side (facing vehicle) with a non-marring tool. Once one tab starts to let loose from the emblem just wiggle it out. It's pretty easy. Did mine the other night in like 1 minute.
