HID question in Fog Light spot DRL

Hey guys just a quick question if anyone has done this before, I currently have LEDs in my DRL location, they aren't bright at all, seriously, I know HID's will really ramp up the brightness, but my question is, are they too hot?

The housing cover in the '14 is glass so I know it won't melt, but what about the surrounding? Does anyone here have HID's in their DRL location and run into any issues? THANKS

Mounting

Just wondering, where did you guys mount the ballasts for the HIDs? I have had a set from Diode for a while now.

I stuck them to the inside of the front bumper on the bottom. Attached them with double sided tape. Perfect spot, relatively easy to get to and they don't move around at all.

Nope, just reached in through the wheel well. Just open the front wheel liner.
