My 2SS and Custom Painted Rally Stripes - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Here are pictures of my ride. Got it on 7/28 after 9 months of waiting, had it a week then gave him up to have custom Rally stripes painted on. The Rally stripes are Corvette Crystal Red Metalic. Added a few additional items, I am sure you can pick them out. Finally got to detail him and took these pictures yesterday. And yes I named it...Butch. Kind of fitting don't you think?

Thanks - I wanted to go a little more retro and got that idea from the 67' Camaro. Glad you all like it.

Man, that black is so gorgeous....

....I only wish it wasn't such a ***** to keep clean or that might be the one in my driveway right now...with IOM stripes and IOM interior.

After 3 1/2 years with my black 02SS, it was SIMPLE for me to say NOT A CHANCE IN H3LL! 30 seconds outside of my garage and it was dusty. Heck, it got dusty just sitting in my garage overnight!

Thanks for the comments guys, I definitely put a lot of thought into this combo. I am pleased with the end result. I used Turtle Wax Ice and was very pleased with the results. The stripes were done by Jon Maynard in Smyrna, GA (ATL) for $1,600, you can't even feel the stripes, smooth as a baby's butt and well worth the bucks.

Black is a pain but it is all worth it to me.

Man, that does look great...I have been trying to figure out what to do under the word "Camaro" on the finders...the flag rocks, I think I may do that also. Great idea.

You can get these from Rick's Camaros for $16. They are die cast metal and very well made, not the cheap plastic crap GM put on the car. You will have to cut the prongs off the back but well worth it. Here is a link to his website. http://www.rickscamaros.com/dept.asp...d=3269&level=1
