All ZL1's beware!!!

I have to have my exhaust replaced cause the left side of mine is falling apart! Check your exhaust pipes with a flash light and see if the hushmat is coming apart. Thank god for warrenty

I opened my garage and noticed wiring/metal strands sticking out of one of the pipes. I tugged on it thinking maybe something just happened to get trapped but the tug came from inside the Pipe and the wiring/strands wouldn't come out of the exhaust. Took it to the dealer and they checked it out and said the exhaust was coming apart from the inside. I can take pics tomorrow

Should be a concern to gm having a performance car they tested so much having a major part fail after only 7000 miles. Hoping a higher up gm authority sees this thread. This might be a recall ladies and gentlemen.

Wow, that sucks to hear. Glad they are taking care of it under warranty. I'll be sure to keep an eye on mine, but with almost 9,000 miles so far I haven't noticed any issues.

Recalls are usually only due to safety. Doubt a falling a part exhaust will fall under a safety item

You're right! It's not a safety issue but it's covered under the bumper to bumper warranty.
