Airaid Version 2 tube Dyno Results
First off I want to start this thread by saying these are my results done on the same dyno that I have been dynoing my car at since I got it.
I am greatly impressed with the new tube that Airaid has designed; along with the hp it creates over the stock and version 1 tube. Now you will see a total of 4 pulls on the graph I did a total of 8, 2 per situation, and took the best one of each. Now for the results you will see that on a NO TUNE pulls the Version 2 tube made at least 7hp/5tq more than the Version 1 tube did through the mid-high rpm range. Peak number difference was 3hp/3tq. Along those same lines the TUNED pulls were very interesting. The Version 2 tube only did 3hp/3tq difference across the board over the Version 1 tube. The weather definitely wasn't so accomadating today as has been for some of my previous pulls. I have added on the bottom my original number with only MRT V2 and today's max number and have seen an increase of 30.54hp/24.3tq. That is with a + 2100 DA difference which is terrible. So my assumtion, which may be wrong, is that if I could get close to the same DA of -792 I would make much better numbers than today. So total cost of the added hp/tq is MRT V2 (500) Airaid (300) ARH LT (1200) Trifecta Tune (570) so $2,570. Happy Viewing P.S. - all results have been sent to Airaid and David and I have discussed my results and are happy to see such positive results.

Haven't digested everything yet... BUT your dyno sheets indicated they had the SAE correction on... notice on the run with the DA of -792 the SAE correction factor is .93... SO the dyno is doing it's best to even things out between the different DAs..

I know you can't compare dyno to dyno, but it appers Abby got more out of Shorty's and Solo Catback then LT's and Axel back seem to give, Do you have highflow cats?

So does this mean you lost 3hp less than with the Version 1?

NONE of the runs showed a loss in power, not sure where anybody is reading that. The 3HP the V2 made over the V1 is “Peak” HP, but if you look through the band, the V2 made even more power at the lower to mid range part of the RPM band, where you will be driving in real world conditions. EVERYBODY needs to understand that this is “DevilDoc’s” car with HIS modifications ( Airaid, Long Tube headers, Tune, Axle Back Exhaust ) and this does not represent what EVERY car will do or see for gains. From speaking with Jacob, it appears he was pretty happy with the improved results and the most important of all he could feel a nice difference in the SOTP with the new V2, which in turn means it is working Thanks, David |

Oh, I fully understand that this is his dyno on his car. And that every car will be different, even with the same mods.

Hey ROD not sure yet about how this all works out with the DA but I have a feeling that could have something to do with it. Also, my dyno guy has a fan that blows only 30mph and he said I would possibly get much better results with a larger fan. I don't think I've lost hp since I did some 0-60 runs about an hour ago and my time has dropped pretty well with a worse DA. I went from a 5.83 in winter time to a 5.65 just now. And the DA is at 1530.

I completely understand, what is not actually being “Understood” here is that you can’t compare today’s Dyno to his original test. There was no baseline for today. You can’t take a Dyno from 3 months ago and compare it today. It’s not apples to apples in any way shape or form. A Dyno is a tuning tool, and you need to understand a Dyno is a rough estimate of what “ A vehicle” did on that day, with it’s given modifications. So to compare Jacob’s 1st dyno test to today is wrong and inaccurate information. In all fairness It’s just not a accurate comparison. Thanks, David |

The last dyno graph was strictly to show that between just the MRT V2 to now with my mods that I have gained 30hp/24tq.
