Automatic " it seems that the tranny shifts into 6th " it is what gear the programing puts it in. ( I would not think 6th at 45)
Hmmm just thought of a test:

V6 vibrations at low rpm's (30-40 mph)
My auto v6 has an engine vibration when driving at low Rpms usually around the 1100-1200 mark. It's like it's in too low of a gear. Almost like the engine is lugging. It will disappear when I give it enough gas. Was following the thread on this site regarding this issue with others who were having the same problem but can no longer find it?? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 2011 Camaro and I am having the same problem. The did have a forum on this 2 days ago and from what I can see it was deleted. I brought my camaro back to the dealer for this problem and they stated that the driveshaft was out of balance and changed it... did not fix the problem. The dealer stated that GM was showing that their were some complaints on this issue, but because their wasn't enough complaints that they weren't going to do anything about it. I did not pay $30,000 for a car to vibrate like it does....

2011 has a 2.92 rear end gear to achieve 30 MPG EPA. May be too tall a gear.
2010 has a 3.27

I have same issue with my 2011 1LT RS. Dealer ran all camaros on lot and all did the same thing. I was told it is a exhaust issue at the lower rpms. I say its bs and we should not have to live with it.

SAME ISSUE!!
I just bought my 2011 V6 LT1 08/02/11
and it feels like the engine is stuttering around 35-45 mph I am taking it to service in the morning. Does anybody know what this is??? I just traded my 2005 Mustang and I know the transmissions are very different but I am having a hard time figureing out why this car is so shaky and not smooth, pulling off is the worse. I've driven a stick 10 years so I know how and when to shift. They better not give me any BS at Chevy service tommorrow. They tend to tell women BS. |

The only gear change from 2010 to 2011 was in the 2LS that was added mid 2011. It has the higher 2.92:1 gearing.
All v6 cars manual or automatic are having the issue but at slightly different rpms. So I don't think it is the transmission. To me it feels like a tuning issue, maybe even the VVT or simply reversion due to the firing order and exhaust manifold design combined with the VVT. Everyone needs to complain to your dealership for a fix. It is quite annoying, at least with the manual trans I can shift around it and keep my rpms out of that range. For me it happens worst at 2200 rpms (30 to 35 mph in third gear trying to hold a steady speed). Anyone who has had a Trifecta tune care to comment if the studdering went away? Anyone with long tube headers still have the problem?

So I Figured Out The V6 A6 Vibration Problum Jeff Read This Please
and everone else who has been complaining about the V6 A6 vibration at 45 mph ish ruffly around there
so last night i was driveing to work had it in D wanted to cruise to work then i noticed the vibration again from 43 to 45 so i did an exprement i shifted from D to M cause i had a sneeky susption sence i drive so much in M and i hit the down shift button and BOOM i was driveing in 6th gear doing 45 now when i drive in M i normaly dont even touch 6th gear till i am at 50 the lowest or 55 on ave i cruise 45 to 55 in 5th gear so i was right in D mode when the computer controls the shifting it shifts WAY to early into 6th and it causes heavy vibration so much so your rear veiw mirror rattles like a bass hit my only guess for this problum is one of two things A it is programed to save you as much fuel as possible IE get to 6th as fast as possible i notice when your just cruiseing it shifts about 1,800 or below rpm as me in M i shift prefectly at 2,000 on ave or close to it or B the computer codeing is screwed up and it feels it needs to shift into 6th so damn early eather way the computer should be recoded to shift at a higher speed then 45 it knocks it too low on the RPM and bogs to the point the car vibrates my only way around this and the main reason i started to drive in M was to avoid this i knew something was worng i never guessed it was the computer shifting time programing ugh anyhoo anyone else try this i got all shift points down from 1est to 6th IE 10mph shift to 2ed and so forth everone else try this tell me what you think and Jeff hi if your reading this can you call your tech people asking them about changeing the codeing for the shift points? with out voiding anything to improve a more stable non vibrateing ride? is it possible? thank you for your time Nightfall (i learn ever car i own to the T and all its flaws)
