I was rear ended and it took a full day and a half before my neck really started to hurt. I felt 100% fine immediately after the accident, but left work early the next day due to the pain. Whiplash sucks ass. 3 years later and I'm still feeling it every now and then.

Get compensated for any medical expenses like physiotherapy if required.

My taillights are not tinted.
Yes I was driving without a license plate, because the day before that I had a photoshoot of my car and I was too lazy to put it back on. This is not an excuse, but whatever.

I don't feel any pain right now, but will definitely go check at doctor's tomorrow.
I don't have health insurance and will have to pay out of the pocket. How much should I expect to pay?

i would think your car insurance should cover it.

#1. fill out an accident report
2. contact your insurance and give them the other persons info
3. get checked out

good luck

oh, and put your plate back on

+1, pea green never looks good on a vehicle!

Many PD's in Ca will not respond to non-injury collisions. You are on your own to exchange information.
You are required to fill out this report and send it to DMV.

My friend advised to me hire a lawyer.
Google "Diminished Value". There are all sorts of articles to read up on. It is basically an separate claim from the repairs. It covers the reduced resale value your car now has thanks to the age of CarFax and the like. Some states allow Diminished Value claims and some don't.

"then just exchange insurance information"
Still required for a report # especially when it comes down to whose fault it is. A police report covers your ass, plain and simple.

I'm actually moving to Cali soon too, lol. Thanks for the info on that! That to me just seems like an issue considering the other person can say it wasn't there fault, etc. I'll be requesting one regardless. Hopefully I don't cause any accidents or in one while I'm living there.

The bmw driver was pissed at me because I stopped at Yield sign.
So damage is not that bad, but trunk won't close anymore and I am pretty much sure there is some parts damaged inside. :(

Okay on the tint - I guess you were referring to window tint in your earlier reply.

You certainly were unfortunate to have that guy behind you but the fact is, you shouldn't have even been on the road without a license plate. And although that had no impact (pun intended) on the accident, you put yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time by driving illegally.

Hope it all turns out alright though.

In Los Angeles county generally the police will not respond unless there are injuries, property damage or substance abuse is involved. It's been this way now for over 10 years.
