Extreme innovations k member

Has anybody put one in? If so what's your thoughts on it? Was it worth it or was it just kind of an unnecessary thing to do? I think it's quite salty at $1800. But it's 30 pounds lighter and has got to be much stiffer. My car is a dd/street car but my end power goal is 1,000+ hp and since the motor is coming out this winter I've looked at mods I can do while I'm engine free. (Kmember, poly motor mounts ect) just finding it hard to put forth so much money without any feedback. Thanks

I'm sure the Extreme Innovations piece is very nice. I can't really say from personal experience. But I would try to be as patient as possible, I'm pretty sure BMR is in the engineering stages on producing their own K-member. I'm certain it would be a lot less expensive!!!

They are super nice, but pricy. $1800 can reduce more then 30 lbs in a lot of other places.

Awesome piece. Craftsmanship and quality are over the top. Also very necessary for those looking to minimize weight.

I see a VIN so that can't be a COPO but sweet baby Jesus somebody is building one the right way from the ground up. Thanks for the input. I'd like to cut down the weight of my porky pig especially since I added a cast iron block to the mix, but I know $1800 could go towards something much better weight saving wise than 30 dead pounds but I figured since I'm pulling the motor this winter I may as well since I'm there. But I didn't want to blindly spend almost 2k for something that may seem...unnecessary.

Also for those that said BMR I called them and was told that R&D is still designing one. Not even to test phase yet.

That is uncertain. (stiffness)
All steels have the same basic stiffness, so it really comes down to how much of it is there, and how it's arranged. Larger diameter and thicker wall are sure ways to improve stiffness, and of course, triangles.
