Sadly, I'm sure you are 100% correct. I'd like to think that I would keep the car if I somehow won it, but I seriously doubt I could afford the tax payment. It would be monstrous.

I'm gonna take another angle. I wonder if this isn't also a feeler from GM to see what kind of responce they'd get for a Bumble Bee option. I mean your going to have to register to put in for these three cars right? Why not have a survey attached as part of it . Now as for the three Camaro's I wonder what engine they are going to have in them?

From what I read, they're going to be production Camaros.

I really don't think GM is going to give up the car that they have. Gm legal wouldn't allow it.........However I could see them giving a production car away when they become available......

Dodge had something like this awhile back remember? You could win a 2008 Challenger or a Jeep something or other. Never heard about it since.

remember that Bumblebee was also a 1976 Camaro in the movie, so they might be giving away '76 models that have been modified to look like the one in the movie.
oh, and NVM is right: there are two surviving Bumblebee 5th gens, they are resin bodied cars and their paint jobs are quite expensive, although the number that I had heard was $8000... GM wont be parting with the Bumblebee cars anytime soon.

That'd be cool too. Better if they had the engine the showed in the movie

So far, it looks like the 3 Bumblebees that will be offered up in the contest will be "special edition" production Camaros which will be limited in production...meaning only 3 made w/ the special paint, etc. It appears as those will be a car collectors dream!

Ok, new rule. if anyone on this site wins this contest, they have to give rides to the other members. (meeting between the members is up for discussion)
