I have a 2014 1LE does anybody know if the ZL1 guards fit? (by actually putting them on) If you have - please show me how you did it... It seems the wheel well is different than a 13.....
Thanks in advance |

I like the ZL1 guards, cheap, easy install, but I still get a bunch of rubber on the rear quarter.

So we know the ZL1 guards fit the rear of a 1LE. Do they make ZL1 guards for the front wheels?

The ZL1 doesn't have "splash guards" behind the front wheels. It does have the pieces in front of the front tires (I forget what they are called at the moment). If you want front splash guards, you have to go aftermarket or make your own.

Be Aware!
2012-2013 ZL1 Splash guars are different on the 2014. I installed the 12-13's on my 2014 1LE and I have to do a lot of modifications to make them fit. |

I used these for my 2014. The fit is great, and they are easy to install.

Got a set of rear OEM ZL1 splash guards delivered the other day so I started looking for any DIY or tips so that I have a slight clue when I go to install them this weekend. I was hoping to find a little more than I did but I think I've been able to piece the info together.
Basically I just need to remove a couple of the lower screws that hold the fender well on, pull back the fender well a little, remove the tape backing, slide the guard into the well and align up with holes, press in on the guard so the tape sticks, install the screws back, use zip ties or push bolts like the OP has for two holes that don't have screws from the factory. Does that about sum it up? I'm assuming the wheels don't have to be removed although it will give you a lot more room to work with? What about cleaning/prepping the area where the tape will stick with alcohol or something?

You would have to get the ones for the 2014 ZL1. They have the same wheel well. 2012-13 won't fit a 2014. (no without modifications)
