Yes, you are correct. The 6 cylander cars would have been in a different class.
Although, some of you 6's were pretty fast... may have even edged out a few of the 8's.

600 told us wead be together unless are cars were mods that had significant hp gains. If I under stood. I have headers and trust me besides the volume noise there wasn't much for gains. I think the (3) on my car gave me all the advantage I needed .lol

it was a big ass sticker -- that gave you A LOT more HP....

Having the SNELL certified helmets on...How was the visibility on non-sunroof vehicles like?
I drove mine on little talladega gran prix and I couldn't see for s#!t. It was like an airplane cockpit... nothing but, sky. LOL I assume that not having the sunroof would probably give you a few inches of clearance but, not sure how much.

Yea, the first time I got in with the helmet, I was like "WTF???" because of the even less clearance with the sunroof. I had to tilt the seat back and bring it forward a bit. I have no idea how the instructor did it. He was taller than me. He's probably used to it though because he was racing a Vette.

Getting used to that was tough.
