Have Ryne @ Cunningham Motorsports in Murrieta, CA tune your ZL1... He's one of the best tuners out there.

you can just do a mail order flash with a scanner if you just have bolt on parts,I know fastlane sells them..fastlaneturbo.com and then your updates are free normally for bolt on stuff..

Don't want to get in trouble, I called a shop that was mentioned in this thread & left multiple messages (more than 5 times) to have work done to my SS, never got a call back, I ended up having ADM in Texas do it before I brought the car home. I then called that shop about doing some different changes, again 3 calls from me to them, I got no call back. I just ended up having ADM build me an awesome car, the lesson here sponsors, return calls, you never know what you might be missing.
Send me a pm if you'd like, I'm in Nor Cal also, I've been doing the car thing for years in this area, I'm sure I could help you out.

biggest concern I have is I want dead reliable like stock.. a tune that once it is done I can pretty much forget about it.. is it possible with these zl1s?

I haven't found a reliable tuner in California (currently live in folsom but up until 2 yars ago was in the bay area). I'm keeping my ZL1 bone stock (MAYBE rotofab) powerwise until after the warranty for that reason alone.
I'm always shaky about ordering mail order tunes in case something goes wrong, you have to ship your car to the tuner to get it fixed. The best tuners I have heard about is Mark Roman (mobile tuner) and Force Fed Performance (Sac). I also would trust having Abel Chevrolet's suggestions (Rio Vista). |

Ryne at Cunningham Motorsports has a good reputation, He tuned mine. There is also Charly of RPM Motorsports in Santa Clarita. Both of these guys are well know tuners in the Corvette crowds.
