Anyone had to RE-Torque header bolts?
Was just thinking, that since the bolts are not "Locking" bolts, its probably possible for them to back out a bit.
Anyone had to re-torque, or checked after a while and found them to still be at spec?

A little off topic but along the same line, did you guys use anti-seize on the header bolts?

Yeah, they loosened somewhat.
The headers needed to be retightened onto the heads after 2000 miles of regular driving plus some heavy pushing.

the shop that installed mine used a copper coating on the gasket, they said it help keep it well sealed and prevent the bolts from backing out... i just bought a new torque wrench and now i'm going around the car checking the troque specs on all the bolts
the header bolts are next

we always recommend check the bolts to make sure they are indeed still tight after about 2500 miles or so all of the headers we have installed we tell the customer the same thing and most just run it by for us to check to make sure they are still tight

if you changed something, it would be a wise idea to go back and check them a week or so after you installed them. It's easy not to tighten one up enough. I don't believe it to be something that needs to be regularly checked. Just whenever you are changing your oil, take a peek at them and make sure they are flush with the flange

Used Felpro C5A and haven't had enough miles on them yet to recheck.
