where do you jack up the car if you have a flat or oil change /also wheel lock photos

looking inside the trunk there is no jack and no tire iron.never mind the spare .so even if you get a spare for the ss you still need to get a jack and a tire iron .looking under the car i dont see any strong points to jack the car under the rocker panel .im sure a little further in there will be but if you hit the rocker panel which is all plastic we might do some damage .i know alot of people who are nervous that there is no spare ..but to all who are going to buy an extra for long trips or so you need a jack and a tire iron ..i didnt get a owners manual to locate the jacking point dealer lost it .can anybody show us where to place the jack .i know it sounds stupid but i only have one working arm right know so i cant get under to look all the way i also add some pictures off wheel locks mcgards

Have you ever jacked a car up before?
Always jack the car using frame rails and or frame support. Look under your car, they are easy to spot.
If that doesn't work and common sense doesn't kick in first, read the manual that came with the car. It will explain the jacking points and procedures.

Behind the front tires and in front of the back tires there are support plates with a lip in the center running the length of it from front to back.

Look for this plate. This is where you place the jack when lifting the car. Anywhere else, you will run the risk of damaging the body of the car.

well you either get ramps or jack it up using the frame. I mean it can be tough since the car sits so low, but its easy to do. Now as far as the road. It has road side assistance for 5 years, so your good.

WOW, such a simple question brings such emotion.

If the OP knew he would not have asked. If you post just give him his answer and save the personal feelings to be voiced and not typed.

yes i did feel them there do you feel or see how close they are to your plastic rocker panel .one little screw up and that would crack . and nobody on here could tell me when they jacked up a car before they didnt get movement . im not looking to fight with anybody about this just looking for a good way to do it thats all

I thought part of the price of the spare was the jack. My understanding is the jack is supposed to come bundled inside the spare tire. Pretty cheesy, set up but it's there. I'm trying to find the pic again- I saw it when the whole "This Car Doesn't Come with a SPARE?!?!?!" controversy came out.

I believe Chevy designed this from the beginning to not use a spare, so I'm not surprised you're having problems finding jack-points.

After driving home you should read every single page of the owners manual before you operate the vehicle the 2nd time. I am not picking on the OP. This is robotic information. Just do it don't question.... grasshoppa.
