Question on Pad and Rotor Replacements for LS

Hey guys,

I am planning on replacing my pads and rotors sometime in the next few weeks and had heard great things about Hawk Performance. I found them on amazon a little cheaper than on the Hawk site plus I have Prime so I can get them in two days.

From what I have been reading the best pads to go with are the HPS pads as opposed to the ceramic for street use. I don't track my car but I do have some "spirited driving" sessions here and there.

So my question is are the kits linked below what I should go with? Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!

Rear Kit

Front Kit

You live in Shelton and don't take your car to The Ridge?????????? If I lived over there I'd be on that track every day I could! lol!

It's hard to go wrong with the HPS pads for street use. They would even hold up well in a Novice track session. Price seems right to me as well for the rotors if you are replacing them anyway.

I know, it's sad! I am up there quite a bit taking pictures and chatting with people but I haven't actually taken my car on the track But I might be joining the SCCA track night this month.

Thanks for the input! Yes, I figured I might as well just get them all done at once. You wouldn't happen to be the same Scott that just upgraded to Hawk pads and posted in the WW5GCC FB page, would you? lol

Any reason you went with Bear Rotors instead of Hawks?

Thanks!

I work at Yearone and our people said they were very good and this is all they use.
I also do not think Hawk was making when I replaced mine.

If I may thread jack... I'm also in the market for rotors. I was considering the R1 Concept Premium blank OEM replacement rotors. What opinions are there for these rotors?
