Removing rear bowtie
How could i go about doing this? Will flossing it off work? Also when its removed, is there a hole?

I used floss. There are 2 holes. The bowtie is not clipped on. The holes seem to be used as guides so no need to remove the trunk liner. Be sure to tape off the edges so that you don't ruin the paint when you pry it off. I'll post pics tonight if it helps.

I haven't done this myself but others have said heat the adhesive up with a blow dryer and floss behind it in kind of a sawing motion. As for the holes from what I understand the 2011 and late 2010 models do not have holes.

a lot of people said the 2011's had no holes behind the bowties....well mine did!!

lucky..im not sure what my build date was...i know its 2011 for sure got hud and i bought it new...wish mine hadn't had the holes! i just installed rear camaro lettering in black and had to move them to cover the holes. |

This is a picture showing where the holes are. You could probably test for holes by running the floss across until you hit resistance or pull the cover plate from the inside off and feel for it through the existing holes behind the trunk cover. Another way would be to run a long thin sharp object up from the bottom to test for resistance. Hope this helps.
