I love how dealers throw the cars in front so passer by's can see it. I ordered a 2001 Firehawk,took 3 months to come in.Told the dealer to not touch it,not even clean it.They parked it out front and a customer backed into it 10 minutes before I got there to pick it up. They almost died that day.

The car is Awesome, so hard to keep my foot out of the gas. I've got 150 Miles on it so far.

Man, I know I'm not saying anything groundbreaking here...but black looks incredible when it's clean. That looks like glass! Congrats again and enjoy man...

(I broke the tires out for the first time yesterday...I was the last one at work...empty parking lot...and tore it up! I won't do it again because the $500 tires could quickly burn a hole in my pocket...but I had to do it once

)

Looks like you bought your car from Lannan. Congrats and Best Wishes! Awesome looking car. I have a car on order with Lannan. I ordered it 7-18. They've been really good to me since May. So far it's been a excellent adventure. I expect my car sometime in Sept. I am at 3000 as of 08-04. How was your experience?

I'm loving the new car. I was a little worried when people were saying how they thought the car feels slower than they expected and that sort of thing. I just don't see where they are coming from, I've got 180 miles on it now and have barely hit 4k RPM and it feels like a rocket ship, fastest car I've ever driven.
I got into the gas a bit and broke the tires loose going in to second by accident, and that was still keeping the revs bellow 4k.

I'm happy with the black, but it is hard to keep clean. I picked up a bunch of microfiber cloths to wipe it down every once and a while.

(Use white cotton towels...not microfiber). Also, you could pick up a California Duster. Keep the microfiber for the interior.

I agree...the car hates to be driven under 35mph. No matter what gear you're in...it always seems like it has so much to give in that gear LOL.

I was talking with Z28Mass at the Cruise night last night and she made a comment about the exhaust note...and I agree with her. The more miles it gets broken in...the "meaner" it starts to sound. Also, I've found that my gas mileage is getting better. I was driving it like a granny last week to see what I could get my average gas mileage to be. (Just drove it to and from work, and to get lunch a couple of days for an entire tank)... I averaged 26.2mpg. That is pretty damn impressive IMO.

(Oh, and I did the math and it came to 26.2mpg...the DIC said 26.4)

Anyone waiting on an IOM in the Hudson MA area?? Drove by a car carrier last night parked in a stop&shop paking lot in Hudson with some other cars on it, just one Camaro on the truck though.

The black engine cover and wheel locks finally came into dealership and were installed yesterday. Car is finally complete with everything that I ordered. So far the car has attracted wide attention no matter where I drive. I was told by some people that my black Camaro 2SSRS is the only one in my area. People have been taking pictures of it like crazy.
